The USA striker, 22, has been linked with Inter Milan and Prem clubs following his sensational loan season with Reims in which he netted an impressive 21-goals for the French side in the League

He has already come out and admitted that he needs to play in the coming seasons – and Mikel Arteta has been unable to give him the assurances that he needs to 100 per cent make the decision to stay put.

There has been alot of clubs interested in the young striker over the past few weeks – but nobody has been ready to meet that £50 million asking price that Arsenal have placed on the head of Balogun.

However – it now seems that he is heading back to Ligue 1 this summer after burnley made an offer to get a deal done

The French giants have reportedly booked a medical for the USA star.

And Italian journalist Rudy Galetti believes the former England Under-21 international has all but sealed a switch to Monaco

Arsenal wanted around £50million for Balogun.

But previous offers are said to have been around £35m and it’s unclear how much Monaco have agreed to pay.

Mikel Arteta has had the pleasure if working with Balogun all summer – and if he was good enough to be a big part of that ARSENAL side – he would be staying, so letting him go after the season he had last year is a big statement.
