Here is a roundup of the top West Ham news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed from icfootballnews

The USA striker, 22, has been linked with Inter Milan and Prem clubs following his sensational loan season with Reims in which he netted an impressive 21-goals for the French side in the League.

He has already come out and admitted that he needs to play in the coming seasons – and Mikel Arteta has been unable to give him the assurances that he needs to 100 per cent make the decision to stay put.

Balogun is attracting serious interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Chelsea, among other clubs this summer, as there is a feeling that he will not get the game time that he wants this coming season

According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal have been contacted by West Ham about the situation of Balogun – who has also been linked with a move to Monaco and Chelsea in recent weeks.

COULD BALOGUN REALLY END UP AT WEST HAM?

Right now – Chelsea and Inter Milan are leading the chase to sign the talented striker an are both reportedly ready to pay that £35 million asking price – so he has options.

But Balogun fits the criteria that WEST HAM are looking to sign, he is young, hungry and talented, and a player they can make a bit of money on in the future.

He would most certainly be interested in a move to London Stadium as he knows that the Hammers do not have a permanent number one striker right now.

So, he has more of a chance of playing there than he would at the Emirates, so it would make sense that he makes the move across London and tests himself in the Premier League.

And to be honest – it would probably be a decent move to make for the lad

It has been claimed that Chelsea may now decide to let West Ham target Ian Maatsen leave the club before the close of the transfer window.

Maatsen is a lad that Pochettino has used this summer window in preparation for the new Premier League season, which started a few weeks ago

There has been alot of interest in the Dutchman this summer, with the likes of WEST HAM and Newcastle United just two clubs that are reportedly interested in a deal for the defender.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The surprise story of Chelsea’s pre-season tour that managed to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s main squad for the start of the new campaign, but respected Journalist Matt Law has claimed that the club may decide to let him go in the coming week.

He has claimed that his sources have revealed that he is a player the Blues are considering letting go.

“Sources do tell me that there is a thought that he (Maatsen) could leave before the window shuts. You would really hope it is on loan.. I certainly wouldn’t rule out Maatsen going before the window shuts at this rate,” Law told the London Is Blue podcast.

WILL CHELSEA LET MAATSEN DEPART?

Look, the lad is a serious talent and Mauricio Pochettino believes in him enough to give him a chance in that Blues side – so this report has come out of nowhere really.

There are a few interested clubs that may be able to offer the Dutchman a bit more game time – but all indications suggest that he does not want to go and wants to prove himself at the Blues.

But if WEST HAM managed to get some sort of transfer deal done – the fans would not be unhappy about his arrival as he has looked impressive in pre-season and then the start of the campaign.

WEST HAM IN EN-NESYRI TALKS –

It has again been claimed that WEST HAM are trying to wrap up the signing of Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri

The transfer window has actually been a very good one for the Hammers in recent weeks as they have spent some of that £105 million they got from the sale of Declan Rice.

Their midfield has been improved with the signings of James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez – while they have also just splashed £17 million on the signing of impressive Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart.

But David Moyes is not yet done and they have agreed a deal to sign Mohammed Kudus from Ajax – and are now working on a late deal to sign En-Nesyri from Sevilla to add goals to the side.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Dharmesh Sheth told the Sky Sports Transfer Show are West Ham are now working on a deal to sign the striker from Sevilla in a deal worth close to £30 million.

The Sevilla striker has netted 55 goals in 157 games in all competitions for the Spanish outfit since signing from Leganes for £17m in 2020.

West Ham weren’t struggling for goals on Sunday when they faced London rivals Chelsea, but Moyes knows he needs to add more to that attack in order to really challenge for Europe.

If WEST HAM manage to sign the impressive En-Nesyri from Sevilla it will be another statement signing from the club – he is a man that has played at the very highest level of the game and scored goals.

And for the money that is being talked about – he would be a real bargain for the club – West Ham fans would surely love this deal to happen?
